Welcome to ORIXÁS ANGELS OF NATURE event happening on Saturday 16.3 at Down To Earth from 1-4pm and on Sunday 17.3 same time at El Santito in town! Brazil Weekends + Samba Capoeira Batizados
Eletricat's Brazil Weekends are an explosion of traditional Brazilian Culture! Guests come from as far as Brazil and Europe to deliver workshops in dance, capoeira & percussion & to perform at the club night party.
Saturday Club Night Parties are always open to the public and everyone is welcome to enjoy live music, dance and Capoeira shows! However, Sundays are left for a more family get together feeling with traditional Brazilian food, Batizado ceremony and percussion workshops.
At the Batizado ceremony there is a traditional Samba & Capoeira RODA. Eletricat's dance students are baptised and given their Samba (butterfly) names. Prof. Selva also baptises his Abolicao Capoeira students and they are aslo given their Capoeira names.
Everyone including complete beginners are always welcome at our workshops and events! If you'd like to take part just get in touch to book!
If you'd like to certify and start teaching Eletricat's Brazamba style you must attend at least one Batizado weekend event + 6 of Eletricat's Brazamba classes. Visit BRAZAMBA Page from menu.

Scotland's Next Samba Dancer
The competition in the search for Scotland's Next Samba Dancer was produced by Eletricat and Up Next Studios
in partnership with Viva Brazil, Stow College & G1 Group in October 2011.

The Winner
Jasmine, also known as Eletricat Samba Dancer Mor'Mon won the title of Scotland's Next Samba Dancer 2012.
She was the winner of the competition and will be travelling to Brazil and joining Eletricat's Brazil Tours in July 2012.
Also part of the prizes was a carnival photo shoot, meal for two including cocktails at Viva Brazil and paid performances, so she has been performing with Eletricat Dance monthly at Viva Brazil and Arta from G1 Group!
